What is ProEdit's translation process?

ProEdit's translation process requires that at least three professional linguists work on every job: a translator, an editor, and a proofreader. For each project, we select the entire team based on their knowledge of the subject area and the target audience in question.

Technology cannot yet replace the process of high-quality human translation; however, computer-aided translation tools are useful in leveraging repeated text and ensuring consistency throughout a project. ProEdit uses these technologies to keep costs down and maintain accuracy and consistency.

How is localization different from translation?

Localization is the process of adapting content and applications to specific languages, local markets, and cultures. A significant part of the process involves translation, but localization focuses on cultural nuances, conventions, and style.
