Contract Technical Writer (Alpharetta, GA) Job # GA205

ProEdit is seeking a technical writer for a three-month contract position in Alpharetta, GA (North Point Parkway). The writer will design and write documentation for end users and administrator audiences for our client’s enterprise software products. The technical writer will also work with subject matter experts and other team members to define and develop topics within the documentation plan to meet product launch requirements.

A majority of this work can be done on a telecommuting basis. There is a possibility the contract will extend beyond three months.

Qualifications for this position include:

• At least three to five years of experience as a technical writer required.
• Experience with software documentation required.
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, web applications, or enterprise mashups highly desired.
• Able to complete assigned deliverables within timelines and work well in a fast-paced project environment.
• Proficiency with MS Word.
• Ability to supply own laptop.
• BA or BS degree, preferably in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or equivalent field highly desired.
