Contract Technical Proposal Writer (Telecommute and Kansas City, Mo) Job # TE202

ProEdit has an exciting new opportunity for a technical proposal writer for a partial onsite and partial telecommute, project-to-project position in Kansas City, MO (ZIP code: 64111). The person in this position will write, edit, index, or revise a variety of technical documents for projects and proposals for the US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineering and Construction division.

The right candidate will collaborate with project management, project staff, and architectural firms during the design phase to gain an understanding of the product, which may require onsite work in the Kansas City office. Candidate should also be prepared to interpret RFPs and analyze the project requirements to determine the type of write-ups necessary and to ensure accuracy and completeness of technical documentation. This person will also support quality assurance efforts, assemble documentation for audits, and ensure that documentation is compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications for this position include:

• Five to eight years of technical writing/proposal writing experience
• Previous experience working with US Army Corps of Engineers-related contracts
• Understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and its applications
• Ability to prepare price proposal documentation and pre-construction documentation
• Familiarity with LEED requirements
• Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe products
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
